Submission outlines key gaps in standards for MNEs and expectations for NCPs

The OECD Working Party on Responsible Business Conduct is undertaking an assessment (“stocktaking”) of whether gaps exist in the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and whether they remain “fit for purpose.”

This submission provides OECD Watch’s perspective on where serious gaps exist in both the standards for multinational enterprises and expectations for National Contact Points that render the Guidelines unfit for purpose.

This submission represents insights from over 250 civil society organisations, including civil society that have participated in a range of consultations on gaps in the Guidelines held by OECD Watch between 2019 and 2021.
