Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (FARN) is an independent, non-partisan organization based in Argentina, committed to environmental protection and the defense of human rights. Through knowledge production, public policy advocacy, and collaboration with communities, we contribute to societal well-being and respect for ecological integrity, with an intergenerational and gender-based approach. Our work is driven by the desire to transform reality through the collective construction of a future where respect for the environment and human rights are core values. Our main areas of work cover energy transition, climate change, fossil fuels, mining, minerals for the energy transition, international financial institutions, access rights, strategic legal actions, biodiversity, and business and human rights.

Leandro Gomez is the Coordinator of the Investments and Rights Program at FARN. He has 7 years of experience monitoring International Financial Institutions in Argentina and its role in the energy transition, in collaboration with local communities affected by lithium mining operations. He has integrated the Steering Committee of the Coalition for Human Rights in Development, and at present he is part of the Latin-American Working Group of the Community Resource Exchange. Leandro has a degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
