Allegations
In May 2005 the Swiss NCP received a request for review from an NGO a multinational enterprise had breached many provisions of the Guidelines in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Specifically it was alleged that the company provided logistical support to mining operations in conflict-affected zones in the country.
Outcome
The Swiss NCP concluded the specific instance as, after investigating the request, it found that the issues raised were not in any relevant way related to a Swiss-based company or to the OECD Guidelines.
